Introduction to Raw Foods

In this hands on workshop you will be introduced to raw food basics. There will be sampling of a variety of raw food recipes for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Register for 1 session or all three at the discounted rate listed.

Gentle Fit

This class offers a low impact warm up followed by balance practice, agility drills and games, targeted strength/core work and stretching to give participants full-body training. Attention will be given to providing safe moves for the mature body.

We will teach you how to draw cartoon and anime figures and make your stories come to life through cartoon stories. You will make your own comic book too. We are happy to have Cloudscape Comics facilitate these classes at Sunset.

Master Planning for the Sunset Green Spaces

We are waiting for Parks and Recreation to set the dates to help lead Sunset in developing a Conceptual Plan for the Sunset Green Space by early 2014. 

The Plan will include your ideas on how to develop the green space at the former site of the Sunset Community Centre as well as adjacent sports fields and dog park, located at 51st and Prince Edward Streets. Stay tuned for more information

Our staff and community volunteers invest lots of time and energy in putting together this brochure, selecting a wide variety of programs that will meet the needs of you and your family. I hope you find something to tempt you to join with your neighbours and friends, and encourage you to grow your current interests or even try something new!

The fitness centre includes various machines such as:

  • Apex equipment: vertical row, vertical bench, leg curl, leg press, shoulder press, lat pulldown, duplex pulley and smith machine.
  • Cardio equipment: treadmills, crosstrainers, stairmaster, bikes. Abdominal crunch machine, medicine & body balls.
