Ice Skating Lesson Registration Information
In-person with report card or instructor assessment on
Thursday August 12, 3:00pm at Sunset Ice Rink and
Sunset Community Centre 6810 Main St.
Assessment for Fall lessons are done at the Rink during
the following dates and times:
• Thursday 1:30-2:45pm: July 8-Aug 12
• Saturday 12:45-2:00pm: July 3-Aug 14
• No Assessment available July 31.
Registration continues until all classes are full.
Skate rental is $2.90/drop-in or $23.20/10 tickets.
2nd Set of Skating Lesson
Registration – For Thursday Participants currently in
Lessons w/report cards after lessons will be: October 28.
For Saturday Lessons w/report cards after lessons will be:
October 30.
For participants currently not in skate lessons registration will
take place: November 1 at Sunset Ice Rink and Community
Centre at 5:30pm.
For your Information
- Cheques accepted for Association programs only. N.S.F. cheques will be assessed a $20 fee.
- NOTE: 7 days notice required for refunds of weekly programs.
- Please see below for full Refund Policies.
- Registration is required for most programs as they need a minimum enrolment to run.
- Programs that do not reach the minimum may be cancelled prior to the first class.
- When you register for a program, you automatically become a member.
- Please verify course dates, times, prices and location on your registration receipt.
- Receipts maybe picked-up anytime during office hours.
- Registrations are non-transferrable.
- You may register for yourself and one other family.
Leisure Access Services
Leisure Access: discounts may be available individuals and families
with a low income. Call us at 604-718-6505 for more information.
Special Needs Recreation for Disabled
Persons: Volunteer support may be available should
you or a family member require support to participate in any
of our programs. Before registering please call the Integration
Program Assistant at 604-718-5853 for further information.
Refund Policies
Association Refund Policy
Refund requests must be submitted within 24 hours of the completion of the 2nd scheduled class. No other refund requests will be considered without a doctor’s note. All refunds will be pro-rated with an administration fee of $5 applied to each person & program. Please note this policy does not apply to Sunset Preschool, Out Of School Care, Birthday Party, Personal Training, Fun with Friends and all camp programs. Refunds will be returned by method of payment, with the exception of cash. Cash refunds will be returned by cheque or debit. Full refunds will be issued for any programs cancelled by the Centre.
Skating Lesson Refund Policy
A full refund will be given when the request is received more than 48 hours before the first session. Refund requests within 48 hours but before the first session will be assessed a $10 administration fee. Refund requests received after the program has started will be assessed a $10 administration fee and will be prorated based on the sessions remaining. Refunds for medical reasons (doctor note required) will not be charged the Administration Fee.
